The villa, which we designed as a blend of NZ and Italian villas, was built in 2002 and the garden developed very slowly over the next 2 decades. My father's side of the family is Italian and as he had been in the food business since before I was born it was a natural step for him to create the successful ‘The Mediterranean Food Company’ with mum, my three sisters, and me in 2000. It's been 10 years since we moved on to do other things and now it's time for a new era - opening the villa and gardens to guests.
